The 21-month old boy is believed to be suffering from a fractured skull, broken leg and ruptured spleen.

Police were called at around 2.20pm on Sunday to reports of a collision involving a vehicle and the child in Rose Court, off Evergreen Road.

Paramedics attended and the child was taken to the James Paget University Hospital in Gorleston. He was later transferred to Addenbrooke’s.

Police officers have spoken to the driver of the vehicle. Rose Court was closed off on Sunday for a collision investigation.

Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident, who hasn’t already spoken to officers, to contact the joint Roads Policing and Firearms Operations Unit on 101 quoting CAD 249 of 22 June.
