The A140 at Hevingham has been reopened following a two vehicle crash.

Police were called to Cromer Road, in Hevingham, between Norwich and Aylsham, at 12.15pm today following the collision between a silver Vauxhall car and a Peugeot van.

A spokesman for Norfolk Police said the A140 was closed in both directions as a result of the crash and firefighters and the ambulance service were at the scene.

A spokesman for Norfolk Fire and Rescue said a crew from Aylsham and one from Sprowston were called and used hydraulic rescue equipment to remove one person from a vehicle.

The road was reopened at around 3pm today.
