15:12 21 June 2014
Six people have been injured in a crash involving two cars in Sculthorpe today.
Police, fire crews and two ambulances attended the scene of the incident, which happened at about 11am on the B1355 Creake Road.
The roof was cut away from one of the cars so rescue teams could free the trapped casualties.
A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said four people suffered minor injuries and were discharged at the scene but a further two people had more serious injuries.
A police officer at the scene said two people had been taken to hospital, but their injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
The accident closed the road in both directions for two hours. It re-opened to traffic at about 1pm, although there were still delays in one direction as work to recover the vehicles continued.
