The collision happened on the B1110 at Wood Norton, near Dereham, just north of the cross-roads with Hindolveston and Fulmodeston Roads, at 4.20pm.

Police said a silver Vauxhall Nova, driven by a 25-year-old man, and a black BMW, driven by a 57-year-old man, both from the local area and both travelling in the direction of Guist, collided with a blue Ford Fiesta being driven in the opposite direction by a 19-year-old man.

A 25-year-old driver is being treated at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge after he was sent flying through a windscreen, while the other drivers suffered minor injuries.

Police are keen to speak to anyone who saw the crash or the way the cars were driving before it happened.

They particularly asked to speak to the driver or occupants of a red or maroon-coloured saloon car seen travelling in the direction of Holt just before the collision.

Contact PC Jonathan Miller at Swaffham Roads Policing on 101.
