Pearl Weaving, from Station Road in Corton, was found “safe and well” in Kings Lynn, police confirmed tonight.

She had left her home, catching a bus from the village near Lowestoft at 9pm last night (Thursday, July 17), before eventually arriving at the Vancouver Centre in Kings Lynn at about midnight.

Officers had launched an appeal for help in tracing Mrs Weaving, and this evening a police spokesman said: “We can confirm that 84-year-old Pearl Weaving, who went missing from Corton yesterday (Thursday) has been found safe and well in Kings Lynn.”

  • I was the lady who found Pearl and took her to the train station where she was recognised by staff there. I didn't know she was missing at the time but realised she was very confused and disorientated . I waited a while with her and made sure she had a drink and something to eat before leaving her with railway staff. I'm so pleased it was a happy ending and that I played a part in her rescue. She seems such a nice lady.
