It happened at about 9.15am today, and traffic was queueing behind the road block caused by a bus and a car which crashed on the junction with Bond Street.

The cast of this year’s Cromer Pier show were delayed on their way to Norwich, as their chartered bus was due to leave at 9.45am.

Dave Hubba Roberts, who was travelling with Andreas Yiasimi, said: “I was just coming to catch the bus to go to Norwich with the cast of the Seaside Special where they are doing four or five mini-shows throughout the day.

“We have been delayed by the crash in the town.”

Emergency services were at the scene.

The driver of the car, a man in his 60s, was in shock and was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital as a precautionary measure.

The road has been re-opened.
