A man has been charged with robbery following an incident at a store in West Earlham yesterday morning, in which cigarettes and alcohol were stolen.

Darryl Hindley, 20, of Beecheno Road in Norwich, has been detained in police custody to appear before Norwich magistrates’ court tomorrow.

A 19-year-old man, who was also arrested in connection with this incident, has been released on police bail pending further inquiries.

The robbery took place at Earlham Shopper at West Centre in Earlham just after 6am.

Six or seven packets of cigarettes and two one litre bottles of vodka were taken.

The staff were unhurt in the incident.
