Update: Large straw stack fire in Southrepps believed to be arson

A large straw stack fire which broke out before midnight is being treated as arson.

The fire, involving 120 tons of straw, started off Pit Street, Southrepps, near Cromer.

Fire crews from Mundesley and North Walsham attended the blaze which was left to burn from 5.30am.

Crew from Cromer and then Sheringham were at the scene for safety reasons.

A fire service spokesman said the blaze was believed to be deliberate and the incident was handed over to the police.

Firefighters from Sheringham are due to leave the scene shortly.
