Passengers faced delays at Norwich International Airport this week due to fog.

The airport was closed due to thick fog on Wednesday night, causing a flight from Aberdeen to be diverted to East Midlands, one from Manchester re-routed to Cambridge and an inbound Amsterdam flight had to land at Birmingham instead.

Because the aircraft were not able to land in Norwich, that caused some delays yesterday morning, which were compounded by more fog.

Two flights, yesterday morning’s 6.20am to Amsterdam and the 6.50am to Manchester, were cancelled and other flights yesterday morning were delayed due to the poor visibility.

Flights last night continued as normal despite more fog and flights this morning have been running to schedule.
