Crews were called to Rash’s Green Industrial Estate, on John Goshawk Road, at around 2.18am today after reports of a blaze at C&R – a car brakes specialists.

Fire investigator and north Earlham station manager Duncan Ashworth said the incident is being treated as an accident.

Appliances from Dereham, Watton, Hingham, Earlham and the USAR team were at the scene with the last one leaving at 1.45pm.

Firefighters used an aerial ladder platform, breathing apparatus, main and hose reel jets, hydrant and thermal image camera.

Crews were parked outside Norfolk Fasteners, but this unit was not affected.

Following the outbreak, Konectbus issued a warning to commuters on Twitter to expect delays of around 30 minutes to some services due to the fire being next to its depot.

Last month emergency services were called to Midas Mouldings’ factory on Charles Wood Road at the same industrial estate after a fire broke out.

That incident is being treated as arson and is thought to have caused £410,000 worth of damage.
