The A47 has reopened this evening following a crash between a motorcycle and a car.

The accident happened on the Norwich-bound carriageway at 2.30pm and involved a motorbike, ridden by a man in his forties, and a silver Mercedes.

The road was blocked from Cucumber Lane to the roundabout at Brundall, causing long delays.

A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said the motorcyclist had been taken to hospital with minor injuries to his hand and shoulder.
