A motorist has died after a crash on the A11 near Mildenhall.
The road is closed in both directions between the Fiveways roundabout at Barton Mills and the B1112 while the emergency services deal with the accident – which happened at about 2.10pm today.
Police have put diversions in place and the road is expected to remain shut until 6am on Thursday, as Suffolk County Council will carry out tree felling, after the police have finished their investigations.
The accident involved a black Mercedes and DAF truck.
The driver of the car was released from the vehicle by the fire service and treated by paramedics but died at the scene. The driver of the lorry was taken to West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St Edmunds with suspected spinal injuries.
Anyone with information on the crash should contact the Serious Collision Investigation Team at Suffolk Police on 101.
Terrorism returned to the streets of London today as two suspected Muslim fanatics butchered a man in broad daylight in the name of “Allah”.
