Suffolk police received a call at 6am after an HGV left the road and became stuck in a muddy field.

Tony Woodward, police control room supervisor, said nobody was injured in the accident.

The lorry, from Berkshire, crashed near the B1112 crossroads.

Police called the Highways Agency for assistance to recover the lorry from the field, and the A11 was closed in both directions at midday.

The recovery operation is estimated to take two hours, with the road set to reopen around 2pm.
