Investigastions are continuing after a man's body was recovered from the river near Norwich's law courts.

A member of the public raised concerns at around 4.10pm and police officers worked with teams from the Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service and the Broads Authority to recover the man's body.

The fire service rescue boat was in the water as part of the search operation and police forensics officers were on scene, alongside fire crews from Carrow and Earlham.

The St Helen's Wharf car park was cleared by police and the Jarrold Bridge was closed to pedestrians.

Police said that the death was being investigated and enquiries were continuing.
