Police are appealing for witness to a crash this morning between a car and a lorry on Hempstead Road, near Holt.

At about 7.20am a silver Vauxhall Astra was travelling towards the A148 Holt Road when it crashed with a white Mercedes lorry heading towards Hempstead.

The driver of the Astra, a man in his 40s from the Cromer area, suffered serious head and chest injuries.

He was flown by East Anglian Air Ambulance to Addenbrooks Hospital, Cambridge, where he remained in a critical condition.
