A man has died after being struck by a car on the A146 in Stockton.

A BMW collided with a pedestrian near to the junction with Raveningham Road at about 6.20pm on Saturday.

Police and the ambulance service attended but the pedestrian died at the scene.

The driver of the BMW suffered minor injuries.

The road remains closed as investigations into the collision continue.

Police want to speak to anyone who believes they may have witnessed the incident.

Witnesses are asked to contact the serious collision investigation team at Norfolk Constabulary on 101.
