One person has been taken to hospital after a two car crash in Costessey.

The crash, involving a black Vauxhall Astra and a silver Citreon Berlingo, happened on Dereham Road, near to Lord Nelson Drive at about 8am today and resulted in the road being blocked between Sainsbury’s roundabout and Longwater Lane.

Fire crews from Carrow and Earlham attended and used hydraulic rescue equipment and provided scene safety.

A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service Trust (EEAST) said one person suffered minor injuries and was taken to the N&N.
