Investigations are continuing today into the death of a 30-year-old woman motorcyclist who died following a crash on a mid-Norfolk road.
The woman died in hospital following the collision on the B1108 Watton Road at Barnham Broom, near Dereham. She was riding a black Kawasaki ZX600 motorcycle, which crashed with a silver Citroen Xsara at 3.10pm on Saturday.
She was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital where she later died. The female driver of the car was not injured.
Norfolk police have not yet named the dead woman and have yet to reveal where she came from.
A spokesman said: “Police are appealing for any witnesses who saw the collision and/or the manner of driving of each of the vehicles prior to the collision.”
Paul Frary, who lives in Barnham Broom, said: “I’ve not heard of this crash, but sadly it is not unexpected.
“The B1108 Watton Road is a very dangerous road and it seems like there is a crash there every six months or so.”
* A man in his 20s was airlifted to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, in Cambridge, with serious traumatic injuries following a two-car collision on the A140 in Suffolk on Sunday morning.
A female casualty was taken to Ipswich Hospial with minor injuries.
A spokesman for Suffolk police said the crash at Mendlesham happened just before 7.30am.
