Investigations are continuing into the cause of a fire at a Dereham factory.

Police remain at the Midas Mouldings factory this afternoon and the scene is cordoned off to the public.

The extent of the damage is not yet known and the owner of the business did not wish to comment today.

Crews from Dereham, Watton, Hingham and Wymondham and various specialist appliances were called to tackle the blaze at the factory at Charles Wood Road on the Rash’s Green Industrial Estate just after 9pm last night.

The factory company moulds and finishes wood for a variety of uses, such as for beds, banisters, shelving, benches and children’s play equipment.
