Crews from Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service have left the scene of a major fire in a Suffolk building.
This began shortly after 3am at a two-storey derelict timber-framed building in Fen Street, Redgrave and spread rapidly due to strong winds.
Five crews from Norfolk and Suffolk attended the blaze and police were called to make road closures.
These were at Tuffen Lane, Fen Road, and Hinderclay Road with Wash Lane but have since reopened.
Two crews from Diss were first on the scene and requested support from Eye and East Harling.
Due to the severity of the incident, the command support unit and a further support appliance from Ixworth also attended.
A water carrier from Newmarket was on scene and later reports stated that crews were using water from a nearby river in their attempts to battle the flames.
The fire was put out by 11am, and all crews had left the scene by 1pm.
