The driver of a van has been taken to hospital with chest injuries after a crash in Great Yarmouth.

Two crews of firefighters were sent to Lawn Avenue, about 100m from the Fullers Hill traffic lights, at 6.59am.

Police said the van had collided with a wall before then hitting a stationary vehicle.

A spokesman for East of England Ambulance Service said: “We treated a man in his 60s who suffered a chest injury and has been taken to James Paget Hospital for further treatment. His condition isn’t thought to be life-threatening.”

The firefighters helped the ambulance staff and made the vehicle safe, before being stood down at 7.23am.
