A man who was injured by a runaway trailer while walking with his dog to deliver bread to an elderly relative is still in a critical condition in hospital.

A relative of Roger Collins said he had moved one of his arms, but there was still 'a long road ahead' for him as he continued to be treated at Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge.

As reported, Mr Collins, 72, was knocked over by a trailer that came loose from a car and careered onto the pavement as it was travelling through Coltishall on Tuesday.

He was walking from his home at White Lion Road with bread for his cousin Margaret Riley when he was hurt outside the King's Head on Wroxham Road.

A police spokesman said the investigation into the incident was continuing, and no arrests or charges had been made.

Mr Collins, a bachelor who used to work for Norwich Union, was said by shocked villagers to have been 'in the wrong place at the wrong time'.
