The A47 has been re-opened outside Norwich this evening following an earlier crash.

Police shut the road east-bound between the junction with the A11 Thickthorn roundabout and the B1108 Watton Road and traffic was being diverted.

It follows an accident between a motorcycle and a car shortly before 6pm.

Two people were injured in the crash but the injuries are not thought to be life-changing.

The road was re-opened again at around 6.45pm.

The ambulance and fire services were also called.

One fire engine from Carrow and two from Earlham were called at 5.57pm.

Crews made the scene and the surrounding area safe.
