A two-year grand raffle to raise funds for the restoration and window appeal for St Peter and St Paul Church in Swaffham has raised more than £1,500.

The draw took place at the end of the annual church Christmas bazaar on Saturday November 24, and was attended by the appeal patron Sir Samuel Roberts, who picked the two winning tickets, and local professional artist Malcolm Cockell, who donated the two prizes.

Sheila Eckford won a watercolour painting of the church, while John Webster won a painting of the East Window. Both winners are Swaffham residents, and both prizes are signed by the artist and appeal president Baroness Shepard of Northwold.
