A road in Norwich has been closed this evening following a two-car collision.

Emergency services were called to Unthank Road at about 4.20pm after a crash between a Volkswagen Golf and Nissan Micra.

A spokesman for Norfolk Police said no-one was injured in the collision. However, the incident resulted in an oil spill which is currently being cleared up.

Unthank Road was closed between the Essex Street junction and the B1108 Convent Road junction and reopened about 6pm.

A fire crew from Carrow station was called to help make the scene safe.
