Three paintings forming one image representing religious unity in Wymondham have gone on display in the market town.

The triptych was painted by artist Hazel Lemon, who did it as a project to mark the new millennium.

Its panels represent Wymondham Abbey, Wymondham Methodist Church and Wymondham’s Roman Catholic church, and the painting are filled with images of people from the three church communities.

Ms Lemon, who was from Norfolk herself, died in 2012. She exhibited her works in galleries in Norwich, Cambridge, London and further afield in the 1990s and early 2000s. The triptych will be in the vestibule of the Methodist church over the Easter period, and there will be special opening times between 4pm and 7pm on Tuesday, April 11 and Thursday, April 13.
