Emergency crews were called to East Winch Road, Ashwicken, near King’s Lynn, at about 10.30am after reports that a car had come off the road.

When police and fire crews arrived, they found the
vehicle on its side, with the driver trapped inside and unable to get out.

Firefighters used small gear to free the casualty, who was then assessed by paramedics who also attended the scene.

“The patient did not sustain any injuries so was not taken to hospital,” a spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said. The road – which is known as “Millionaires’ Row” due to the number of expensive properties there – was closed at the junction with Gayton Road for approximately one hour yesterday while emergency crews made the area safe.

Earlier firefighters attended a road traffic
collision at Sedgeford, West Norfolk.

One fire engine from Heacham attended at 9.13am and crews made the area safe using hand appliances.

They also attended an accident in South Wootton at 7.39am yesterday.
