Traffic is being diverted.

David Roberts, of Lakenham, was one of about 10 drivers whose cars got stuck on Grapes Hill this lunchtime.

As a policeman guided motorists as they reversed down the road and on to Dereham Road, Mr Roberts said: “Once again we get a bit of snow and Norwich comes to a standstill. No-one could move. Nothing can grip to get to the road.”

Cars are struggling to drive up Rouen Road and Cattle Market Street and Gaol Hill has also been closed.

Traffic is gridlocked on Barrack Street after a lorry became stuck on the roundabout.

Traffic is at a standstill on the A11 between Norwich and Wymondham.

A bus and car crashed on Sir Alfred Munnings Road in Costessey at around 1.30pm. The crash blocked one lane making it difficult for traffic to get in and out of Queen’s Hills.

Vehicles are at a standstill on the A47 at Brundall and at Longwater.
