The mayor of Great Yarmouth visited a charity fundraising stalwart.
Tony Ward raises money for good causes with his popular Tombola stand outside Poundland at the Market Gates shopping centre in Great Yarmouth.
The mayor Kerry Robinson-Payne recently visited Mr Ward when he was holding a special fundraising day.
He raised over £200 for the Cromer Dialysis Unit by holding a tombola with special prizes.
Mr Ward thanked the mayor for visiting and the public for their donations.
He is now hoping to run a similar fundraising effort in the coming months.
Senior sister at the unit, Janet Dickenson, said: “The funds raised are used to take patients on holiday or group theatre trips, Christmas dinner and pantomimes. The majority of the patients are elderly, all live in North Norfolk and because of their illness and dependence on dialysis are unable generally to go away on holidays.”
