A toddler was burnt on the face after a cup of coffee was thrown at her at a branch of McDonalds.
The two-year-old was injured when she was taken into the restaurant in Great Yarmouth town centre with her mum.
The mother, 22, became involved in a verbal argument with another woman, who threw the cup of coffee at her daughter.
The youngster suffered a minor burn to her forehead.
Police are now appealing for information following the assault, which happened between 5pm and 5.30pm on Friday, May 23.
Investigating officer PC Ben Pitman said: 'We want to hear from anyone who witnessed this incident and are particularly keen to speak with a woman who challenged the suspect outside the restaurant shortly after it happened.'
Witnesses should call PC Pitman on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
