Tickets are on sale for a popular family event full of magic and creativity.
The Fairy Fair at Holt Hall, in its 13th year, will be held over the bank holiday on May 25 and 26. It will feature activities and performers including giant stilt walking pixies, storytelling, a pirate pantomime, Rimsky the cycling pianist, a troll in his forest den and the pixie post office.
Youngsters will be able to take part in elf and fairy training, visit the fairy king and queen, as well as learn how to make secret dens and build a fairy house in the woods.
The event is set in 86 acres of gardens, ancient woodlands and lakes and is run by the Fairyland Trust.
Adults can also enjoy themselves at the Good Elf Beer Tent and music will be provided by Penny Less, Ugly Dog Skiffle Band and Murphy’s Lore, among other bands. A Fairy Meadow Fund has been launched, to buy a piece of unused land and turn it into a wildflower meadow which families can enjoy, and 10pc from every ticket sale will go towards the fund.
Tickets cost £10 for adults and £8.50 for children. Youngsters under three can go for free. Visit www.fairylandtrust.org for more information.
