The road has been closed following the smash which involved an HGV and a tipper truck around 4pm today (Thursday February 23).

One of the lorries - a blue and red Scania - was left overturned and badly damaged while a yellow tipper truck was left with a smashed windscreen.

The Magpas enhanced medical team was called at around 2.15pm.

A spokesman said: “Two lorries and a van had collided as a result of high winds, leaving one lorry driver (a man in his 40s) trapped inside the vehicle with minor injuries.

“The driver of the other lorry (a man) and the two occupants of the van (a man and a woman) all thankfully sustained minor injuries.”

Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service, EEAST Ambulance Service paramedic crews and Cambridgeshire Police were also in attendance.
