Three of the five Norfolk girls who reached the final of Miss Universe Great Britain 2013 were placed in the top five, with two in the top three.

Roxy Osborne, 19, from Cromer, was the first runner-up and Maisie Lake, 20, from Norwich, the second runner-up with Neuza Vika, 20, from Great Yarmouth, also in the top five.

The Norfolk finalists also picked up other awards, with Miss Osborne winning Best Hair and Best Skin, and Rebecca Richardson, 25, from North Walsham, winning Miss Charity. She raised the most money for the event's chosen charity, the Hemraj Goyal Foundation, which will channel funds to Strongbones children's charitable trust to help children with bone disease.

The fifth Norfolk finalist, Georgia King, 21, from Norwich, also featured well.

The winner of Miss Universe Great Britain 2013 was Amy Willerton, a professional model from Bristol, who had been signed up by model Katie Price. She will represent the UK at Donald Trump's Miss Universe.

Twenty-four young women from England, Scotland and Wales took to the stage in Birmingham to compete for the title.

Miss Osborne said: 'I feel really proud of myself for coming this far. It has been an incredible journey.'

The Norfolk girls were coached for eight months by the directors of Miss Universe Norfolk, Louise Harris and Tosin Ogunnusi, from Think!Training and Consultancy in Norwich.
