A giant tag wrestler is back on his north Norfolk home turf trying to win a championship with his new ring partner.
Mike Waters’ is a familiar 33-stone figure in the area, after two decades as half of the UK Pitbulls tag team, alongside elder brother Dave who was a mere 28 stone.
They had a golden two decades of competing across the world including the United States, and held a record 12 titles at one time.
But when a powerlifting injury ended Dave’s grappling career in 2008, Mike - known as The Bulk - also retired, before trying a spell as a solo wrestler.
“I was used to being part of a team and did not enjoy the solo world as much,” said the 35-year-old from Sheringham.
He was poised to retire again, but has now teamed up with 29-year-old Wisbech wrestler Karn to form the tag team The Unnatural Disasters, who are unbeaten in 25 bouts.
On Saturday March 29 they will contest the vacant Falling Starr British tag team title at Holt Community Centre against Coventry duo The Henchmen.
Mike, who is also a drummer with rock band spot, said he was working well with his new 25-stone, 29-year-old teammate.
“He is a crazy freak like me - the kind of guy who would break down your door and eat yours pets,” he added.
Also on the card at the Holt fight night are FSW Champion Jimmy Starr, The Dark Wolf Matt Walters, The Intergalactic Cowboy Kenny Mac and Mean Machine Terry Frasier
