Thieves make off with Brookville Royal Mail post box

Thieves have stolen a post box in Brookville.

Police believe the theft took place between 4.45pm on May 28 and 1pm the following day on Main Road.

The Royal Mail post box was removed from the road, which is also known as the B1112.

A similar incident took place in Lynford between May 17 and 19.

It is believed that thieves are able to sell the boxes to collectors for thousands of pounds.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this theft or anyone with further information.
