Police are urging boat owners to be vigilant after thieves targeted vessels in Morston and Hoveton.

Overnight on Thursday April 17 thieves targeted two boats moored at Morston Quay, stealing Yamaha and Honda engines.

Also overnight on Thursday, thieves targeted a storage yard in nearby Glandford where eight outboard engines, a four-metre Avon rib style boat and trailer were stolen.

Officers are investigating possible links between the incidents and would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed people or vehicles in suspicious circumstances in either areas.

Police are also appealing for witnesses following a theft in Hoveton.

At about 1.15pm on Thursday April 17, a boat battery was stolen from outside a property in Stalham Road, Hoveton.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnesses this theft or anyone with further information.
