It happened at 11.30pm on the Great Yarmouth-bound carriageway on the A47 when a car crashed into the central reservation.

A spokesman for Norfolk Constabulary said that the main cause of the crash was thick fog.

Fire crews from Carrow, Sprowston and Earlham attended to make the scene safe and assist police.

The driver was not hurt..

  • No it was not thick fog that caused the crash, It was driving inappropriately in the weather conditions and the drivers involved should be made to pay the costs of the emergency services.

  • Another vote here to support Rob_H and IT Man. There is a significant minority of drivers who just should not be on the roads.

  • Exactly IT man, for the police to say the fog was the main cause is irresponsible at best. Driving too fast for the conditions, end of story.
