Thetford youngsters complete Prince’s Trust course

The latest Prince’s Trust team to complete a 12-week programme designed to get them back into work or training have given their final presentations.

The six-strong team in Thetford spoke about their experiences and received certificates in front of their friends and family in recognition of their work, which has included completing a community project designed to give them new skills and confidence.

The young adults, aged between 16 and 25, are classified as Not in Education, Employment or Training (Neets) and were among three teams of 15 young people taken on by the Trust this year.

In the past, teams completing the Prince’s Trust course have had to complete a number of tasks, including a community project, spending a week away at a residential activity, and taking part in a team activity.

One of the teams that has completed the course in the past renovated a community garden at Thetford Fire Station.

The Trust is a charity for young people that provides practical and financial support and helps develop key workplace skills.
