The Bell Hotel in Norwich is to reopen this month following a £2.2m refurbishment project.

The Wetherspoon pub on Orford Hill will open its doors to the public again on July 25 after a 18-week closure for the work which has seen a full refurbishment of the fifteenth century building.

The ground floor has a new bar and a larger new dining area with space for an extra 100 covers.

The kitchen has been extended and a new-look beer garden has also been refurbished, with the paving levelled allowing accessibility to all.

An additional 70 full and part-time jobs have also been created at the pub, bringing the total number of staff to 120.

Pub manager Jim Kelly said: 'Myself and my team are looking forward to welcoming customers back into the new look pub and we are confident that they will be impressed by the transformation of the building.'
