More parks, clothes shops and improved youth clubs were some of the responses to a town improvement questionnaire.

About 200 Holt residents answered the survey given out by 12 teenagers yesterday.

The 15 and 16-year-olds were doing the survey as part of their National Citizen Service award and were finding out what improvements could be made in Holt for young people.

Findings will be given to Holt Town Council to be used as part of its neighbourhood plan which dictates future town development.

Archie Sweeney, 16, from Wells, said taking part in the National Citizen Service award boosted his confidence.

The Holt group will be fundraising for the Community Sports Foundation Sporting Light Appeal which allows disadvantaged people and those with disabilities to play sport.

They will be bag packing at Budgens of Holt tomorrow between 11am-3pm and running a tombola and cake stall outside Cockertons estate agents in on Holt Market Place on Friday July 25 between 11am-3pm.
