Visual effects students in Norwich are to travel to a London film studio to work with filmmaking students in the capital.

Norwich University of the Arts (NUA) students will travel to Ealing Studios this autumn to work with the students from the Met Film School in London.

They will supply visual effects (VFX) to their counterparts on the Met Film's six-month practical course.

Course leader Saint John Walker said: 'This collaboration is greater than the sum of its parts. NUA VFX students get to experience a professional film environment and how crucial planning is, and Met Film students get to expand their filmmaking vision and repertoire.

'This is all about VFX enhancing film storytelling.'

The NUA course is relatively new, with its first crop of third year students due to graduate next summer.

Guest lecturers so far have included Oscar winners and industry professionals.
