An Explosive Ordnance Disposal unit, formerly the bomb squad, was called to Norfolk police headquarters today (Thursday) after reports of a suspicious package.

This was discovered at the Wymondham-based building this morning.

The package was examined and is believed to pose no threat to the surrounding community.

A police spokesman was unable to give any more information at this time.
