An Explosive Ordnance Disposal unit, formerly the bomb squad, was called to Norfolk police headquarters today (Thursday) after reports of a suspicious package.
This was discovered at the Wymondham-based building this morning.
The package was examined and is believed to pose no threat to the surrounding community.
A police spokesman was unable to give any more information at this time.
Nearly 3,000 people have supported a Facebook campaign demanding safety improvements on the A47 near Dereham set up after the latest fatal crash.
