The towering 'C' and 'S' adorning the stage just after 9pm could mean only one thing.

Chase & Status had arrived to deliver their magical mix of Drum and Bass and Dubstep to, seemingly everyone at Sundown. The crowd extended as far back as I could see from the stage area, with no visible gaps. This was the band everyone had turned up to see and from the moment they stepped on stage, they didn't fail to please.

Bursting into the first track, the two deck wizards blasted dirty Drum and Bass into the Norfolk Showground darkness, piercing the night with strobes and lasers. Without pause, the sound descended into grimy Dubstep with vocals calling out to the crowd and moments later, the familiar riff of 'End Credits' was delivered from a live acoustic guitarist, against the backdrop of more drum and bass and an enchanted crowd, singing faithfully along to every lyric.

As expected, there was no let up for the whole set, with countless classics filling the Showground and it's clear to see why Chase & Status keep returning to Sundown. This is an audience who would've listened, watched and danced for the rest of the night and still screamed for more. It was truly mesmerising and an unforgettable finale to day one of Sundown 2014.
