This was the first year the two festivals ran side by side at the Fairhaven Woodland and Water Garden, but by joining forces visitors were given even more to try out.

Peter Howe, an organiser of the long-running Broads Green Boat Show, said: “All the boats have been on the water all day, with people enjoying the sailing and canoeing tasters on offer. The event has been a great success.”

Louise Rout, manager of Fairhaven garden, added: “We have had a lovely day with lost of smiling faces. The weather has been superb and all our land based activities blended really well with the boating experiences.”
