Suffolk County County’s element of council tax bills will be frozen for four years if the Conservatives are re-elected in May’s elections for Endeavour House.
That was the pledge today from council leader Mark Bee during the county’s debate on the 2013/14 tax rate at Endeavour House.
This is the third year running that the county has frozen its council tax.
Mr Bee made the pledge after the Conservative-dominated authority rejected a Liberal Democrat amendment that would have seen £1.7million transfered from the county’s reserves to boost education and young people’s services in the county.
The entire council is up for re-election in May with the Conservatives defending 55 of the 75 seats up for grabs.
