Firefighters were on hand to deal with two collisions in the space of 15 minutes that occurred just two miles away from each other.
Crews were first pressed into action at 11.40am following reports of a crash on Church Road in Blundeston.
Three vehicles attended the scene and, upon arrival, it became apparent that a lorry and car had been involved in a collision.
The East of England Ambulance Service were present to treat those involved, but their injuries are not thought to be serious or life-threatening.
Having initially been blocked in both directions, the road was later reopened by police.
Meanwhile, the fire service were also called to Somerleyton at 11.54am after reports of a crash on the B1074.
Six fire crews were mobilised and arrived to find that one vehicle had gone off the road and struck a pole near a bend.
Two people were trapped in the vehicle and had to be freed by firefighters, but both escaped injury.
Suffolk Highways tweeted to say that its Lowestoft and Halwesworth gritting depots will be treating priority one roads from 2pm, before the rest of the county's priority one roads are gritted from 6pm.
