The group will perform in the woodland setting on Friday, June 13 as part of the Forestry Commission’s Forest Live concert series.

Suede burst into the British music scene in 1993 with the group’s eponymous number one debut album that sold over 100,000 in its first week of release and went on to become a Mercury Music Prize winner.

Success continued throughout the nineties with further number one albums like Coming Up and Head Music, and top 10s Dog Man Star and Sci-Fi Lullabies.

The group’s top 10 singles include Animal Nitrate, Stay Together, Trash, Beautiful Ones, Saturday Night, Lazy, Filmstar and Electricity.

The groups reformed to perform live shows in 2010 and 2011, and released the album Bloodsports last year.

Forest Live is an independent programme organised by the Forestry Commission bringing music to new audiences without commercial branding or sponsorship. Income from the concerts is spent on improving the woodland for both people and wildlife.

Suede plus special guests will be performing at Thetford Forest, near Brandon, on Friday, June 13.

Tickets cost £42.35 (including booking fee) and go on sale at 9am this Friday. To book call the Forestry Commission box office on 03000 680400 or visit www.forestry.gov.uk/music
