An avenue of daffodils at a north Norfolk church, which help its fundraising, is the result of bit of farming 'fly-tipping' 20 years ago.

The yellow ribbons of spring colour are a local attraction.

And on Sunday Honing church is holding fund-raising tours of the daffodils from 1.30-3.30pm.

Rector the Rev Barry Furness looked into the source of the spectacle when he moved to the village five years ago.

He said the local farm was given two tonnes of under-sized daffodil bulbs as sheep feed instead of potatoes.

But because they were unsure of their safety - farm workers tipped them off the trailer.

The bulbs have slowly self-planted to provide today's display in Long Lane.

The church , which needs to raise £250,000 for church repairs, will provide transport to the flowers and is also serving refreshments.
