Brainwave Independence Group, in partnership with East Coast Community Healthcare, cycled at Starbucks, Lloyds Bank and Homebase in Lowestoft between May 10 and May 12 to raise the money.

Waveney MP Peter Aldous also took part, joining the volunteers at Lloyds on the saddle to show his support for the course.

The group also announced their fundraising total for the 32 mile bike ride from Corton to Geldeston in April this year which has raised £2,700.

More donations are due to come in for the charity with Mark Carter, a volunteer rider, taking part in several charity rides up to August this year from which he will split the amount raised between Brainwave Independence Group and another of his chosen charities.

Brainwave Independence Group promotes independent living among its clients and helps them pursue full and interesting lives. Their goal is to open a day centre in Lowestoft which people with brain injuries or disabilities can visit.
