Some extra special people are set to be celebrated at a glittering awards ceremony taking place in Norwich tomorrow night.
They are the winners of the EDP’s first ever Stars of Norfolk Awards that aims to recognise some of our county’s most inspirational people.
The ceremony will take place at St Andrew’s Hall where the winners in each of the 14 categories - ranging from carer of the year to outstanding bravery of the year to fire service person of the year - will be announced.
The event is the grand finale of the EDP’s extensive search to find and reward some of our county’s greatest unsung heroes.
The awards were launched in June and received more than 300 impressive and heart-warming nominations.
Judges faced an extremely difficult task when choosing both the finalists and the winners from the array of amazing people that were entered, and tomorrow we are looking forward to honouring our 2013 Stars of Norfolk with some very special prizes.
EDP editor Nigel Pickover said: “We have been astonished and delighted that we had so many entries leading to such a brilliant awards shortlist. These amazing people have done such wonderful things for their county and community, and tomorrow night is set to be one of the greatest nights of Norfolk’s year.”
